The Sustainable Development Goals are a call for action by all countries — poor, rich and middle-income — to promote prosperity while protecting the planet.

‘We the Women’ survey results

Amid a global backlash against women’s rights, women are committed to championing rights and representation. Survey results from 185 countries show that 86 per cent cite climate change, and more than 50 per cent identify conflict as primary concerns for the next decade. The United Nations promotes international cooperation, uniting all its Member States’ strength to maintain peace and security, and foster economic and social advancement of all people. Its mandate is to ensure respect for human rights and for fundamental freedoms for all, without distinction as to race, gender, language or religion.

This is the UN Staff Verification website for the UN Secretariat, the main organization within the UN family of Organizations. Our workforce includes a variety of different positions, from the internship level to senior leadership appointments. Positions can range from archivists to engineers, and interpreters to scientists; and from working in an office to working directly with beneficiaries in local environments. We work around the world in hundreds of locations, and there are opportunities to change jobs, departments, and move to new places.
